Homework for Thursday, March 31

Assignment:  Finish your M&M Packet
*Note first that the pages on the original checklist are incorrectly labeled:
In the top section - "Class Data Table" should be your "What's in the Bag?" sheet
In the second section - "What's in the Bag" should be your "More About Your Bag" sheet.
Here are copies of each of the assignment sheets including the new and improved M&M Data checklist:
*M&M Checklist 2016
*What's in the Bag?
*Organized List and 5-number summaries
*Bag Prediction
*More About Your Bag
*Central Tendencies
*Box Plots (no copy of this, please use graph paper)
*Applying the Percents
*Circle Graph for your Bag (you will need to trace your own circle on this)
Now ... if you want details about each of these worksheets, you will need to scroll back through the blog entries for the past two weeks.
Your packet should be stapled together and is DUE Friday, April 1
There WILL be a late point taken off for any packets turned in AFTER Friday, April 1, regardless of the reason.

About those stickers:
You have at most 2 stickers in your packet and they may be used in any of the three possible ways that you want to use them:
C = "I want a candy point for this sticker"
S = "I want a short term candy for this sticker"
L = "I am turning in my packet after April 1 and do not want to lose a point."
Please write the letter for how you are using each sticker, should you have one, next to the sticker.  These points will be applied AFTER Spring break.

Be nice to Carl tomorrow, have a wonderful spring break, and see you a week from Monday!
Mo ;-)

Today in class we went over the 5-number summaries and how to set up and label the graph paper.

We will be answering questions about these on Wednesday, so this should not be your priority assignment for tonight ... but it does need to be done.

Optional Weekend Homework

*Have you checked out the latest kitten pictures on the Mo'Kits tab?  They began opening their eyes last night, so there may be more pictures soon as they begin exploring!

Optional Homework:
First, this is a reminder that we will be having our fraction test on the basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) in class on Tuesday, March 29.

I want you to feel fully prepared, so am encouraging you all to practice the "Fraction Mixed Review" set (specifically) in "Learn" mode, for credit, this weekend until you get 10 correct.  In order to receive credit for this practice, please send me an email saying that you have completed this set.  This offer is only available for the weekend, so take advantage of it now!  *Note again: this is an optional assignment.

Certainly you may practice other sets for the operations that you feel less confident in, but the Mixed Review set is the only one that will earn you credit ... but practice is practice, so do whatever you need to do for you!
Have a great weekend,
Mo ;-)
