Homework for Tuesday, May 7

Assignment: Proportion Applications A or B
Tonight you will use the same format we use for solving verbal percent equations to solve these proportion problems. Instead of "What-is-of" though, you use labels to find the missing variable. I gave examples in class, but you can use the Mo'Help tab of this blog to find my online explanation.
*All problems should show how you set up the proportion, with labels, before you solve it.
Option A - Supermarket Math: Link!
These are straight-forward problems: set up the proportion, then solve by multiplying on the diagonal first, then divide.
Option B - The Riding Stable: Link!
Some of these are two-step equations and you will need to solve part of the problem before you can move forward ... but both steps are set up proportionally. Label carefully! You may use fractions or convert to decimals if you'd prefer.
