Mo'Vids

These are links that I like that I have found that should provide extra lessons or games as needed.  Check them out!  I will update this list as I find more.

1)  This is a nifty little site with practice problems for MANY skills.  You can check it out by grade level, but more importantly are the skills you can practice at ANY level.  It looks great!  Click here to go to IXL

2) CoolMath4Kids has games and activities in a variety of levels and presentations.  It's kind of a hit-and-miss site, but it might have what you need.  Check it out!  Go to: Coolmath4kids

3)  I found this site and really like it.  Don't be fooled by the "6th grade" title; it's good, solid math with different practice levels within this supposed grade guideline.  Go to: Adapted Mind

4) Need help with pre-algebra?  This site, Brightstorm, has online videos you can watch that reinforce the basic skills we are learning this year.  They are short, sweet, and well done.  When you get to the site, go to the "Math" section and select "algebra."  From there you will see many lessons, including "solving equations" that we are working on right now!

5) More pre-algebra help that lets you watch videos of problem-solving and follow along with the steps.  It's more like having a teacher (albeit one who does not answer your questions directly) explaining the steps to you.  While the chapters and topics do not match up with the book we use, the skills are there and you can scroll through the videos at the bottom and hopefully find what you are looking for.  Go to: Art of Problem Solving

6) Some of you like Gizmos as a way to practice.  If you haven't tried them yet, there are a few math topics that are covered in general age range categories.  For this site you will Go to: ExploreLearning.com

7) If you like games to practice your basic facts, this site is for you! https://www.mathschase.com/

8) Don't forget about our Quizlet page!  Quizlet contains problems I have written just for you.  If you are a pre-algebra student, you will need to join the pre-algebra page this year.  To do that, go to Quizlet and join the group: Olympia Nova School Pre-Alg (type it in).  The password is the same as last year.  There are already practice sets for negatives, combining like terms, distributing, and equation busting covered for the first 3 1/2 chapters.
