Greetings! I hope you are all having a fabulous summer whether relaxing, traveling, reading, river rafting, or whatever you enjoy doing. We are home, mostly gardening to get our yard back up to speed after the road construction last year and relaxing as we're able.
As my previous students know, it is always "important" to know my current chicken situation. This summer we attempted to hatch a clutch of eggs and only got one! Her name is Chilly. So we went and picked out 8 friends for her: Francis (see right), Finn, and Felix (our Frizzle chicks), Yeti and Comet (Silkies), and Doc, Sleepy, and Wolf (Polish). No idea yet which are roosters, but Doc is by far the bossiest, so we will see.
