Assignment: Choice! (Sub or Ops)
As usually happens with negatives, many of those of you who are new to them are struggling to keep all of the ideas straight.
This is normal.
Be patient with yourself.
Review what you know.
If you can't remember, visit my Mo'Help tab and you will find some instructions on negatives. That's what they are there for! It's a lot to keep track of, so breathe and let it sink in.
In a nutshell ... "only" subtraction has rules that don't make "sense." You know how to add and you know how to multiply/divide because those do make sense. Remember the tricky rule of when you see two negatives together IN SUBTRACTION (and subtraction only) and that you turn them BOTH into a positive side and move on. Essentially it becomes an addition problem which, if you think about it, is a good thing! Now add your positives and negatives ... and so on.
Here are your options for tonight. PLEASE feel free to move up or down the choices to whatever makes you comfortable. The only exception comes for those of you who completed homework "A" on Monday ... you cannot do it again. ;-)

- This assignment was available on Monday, so if you have already completed it, please move on to the next option.
*Negatives: More Add and Sub Practice - Link!
Practice is good. Repetition creates familiarity. Build confidence!
*Add, Sub, and Ops - Link!
After some quick review of addition and subtraction, try out these order of operations.
*Order of Ops A - Link!
Feel like you have your negative skills down? Try them in the order of operations ... it's a whole new level of complexity, but you can do it!
