Assignment: Simplifying ... Choice!
We did lots of work with simplifying today as your math future holds simplifying requirements in all realms of math, from radicals to fractions to variable equations. Yikes! And so it begins.
As always, feel free to select a different one of these assignments if you are unhappy with your earlier choice.
Today you chose from:
*Practice: Link!
Practice what we did today with fractions. Make sure that the largest factor that the numbers share is one at the end of your simplifying.
*Review: Link!
So you have simplified before and you would like to review doing that with mixed numbers and improper fractions? It's not quite explorative, just follow the same rules and use the example I gave you on this sheet. The bottom 3 problems are thus worth 2 each.
*Challenge/Explore: Link!
If you understand simplifying concepts, this shouldn't extend your brain too far. Think through what you know about numbers and variables ... think of their factors and what they have in common.
