Homework for Thursday, December 12

There is kind of a lot here ... please be patient and read through these directions if you are feeling stuck. Please wait and ask me tomorrow if you are still stuck ... there is always the weekend to catch back up. ;-)

#1) Battleship Game Board - Link! 
Today you are to create your answer key for the Battleship game.
1) Plot any point using the 12 x 12 graph you received in class. Record that point.
2) Draw the diagonal lines that MUST bisect the corners of each box, meaning that they radiate from the points at 45-degree angles. These lines must be drawn straight, be accurate, and be in pencil or black pen.
3) Color the sections according to the key we will all be using: Blue = north, Green = east, Yellow = south, Red = west. You should have this key from the notes we took today.
You will be graded on the accuracy of your point, lines, and key.

The intention of this homework is not to “know” the answers, but to discover them. You may find this frustrating, so hang in there and think of it as a puzzle or a mystery you are trying to solve. Try it, try something else, explore!

Have a coordinate plane and use it to explore the questions … draw on it!  Test your ideas! 

Any graph paper will work; just draw and label the grid yourself placing (0,0) in the center.
