*Choose the measurement that best represents the statement.
*You will be using only millimeters (mm), centimeters (cm), meters (M), and kilometers (km). If you need to ask how long these measurements are, please ask someone!
*Please use a metric ruler for questions 2a, 2b, an 2c.  Accuracy matters.

*You should have received an assignment based on your pre-quiz results.
*Do your best to show me that you understand multiplication rules and can do them accurately!  (NO calculators)

*Remember: count your decimals, then move the decimal to the left that number of places.  Don't forget your zeroes!

 *This is your second Ops assignment.
 *Please write "Ops 2" at the top of your worksheet.

Pre-Algebra: pg 81, 16 - 30
*Combining Like Terms - just be friends!
*When you have variables in the parentheses (which cannot be combined) you distribute first ... aka multiplication ... get it?
*When you have a negative outside of a parentheses (as in 5x - 8(x+2)) be sure to distribute the negative to both terms in the parentheses (as in 5x - 8x - 16) then simplify (as in -3x - 16).
*Be careful ... this should not be "in your head" stuff!

*This is the distributive property, so distribute!
*Remember, this is not about getting the correct answer to a simple problem, it's showing me HOW you distribute and making sure you distribute correctly.
*Also remember: 6x + 10 is an answer simplified as far as it can be simplified.  You cannot combine those terms to be 16x ... it's against the math law.
