Homework for Wednesday, 2/2

Trans Math: Problem Solving w' Fractions
*These problems are NOT just putting fractions onto paper and solving them.  Try different strategies, including pictures, to figure out what to do, before you solve them.
*After you are done, make sure your answer makes sense in relation to the question.  If it doesn't, try another strategy.
*Note that problem #1 requires a chart to prove your answer.
*Hmm... many of you in second period forgot to have a desk partner pick up the worksheet for tonight.  Luckily for you, my amazing homework scanning abilities will save you!  problem solving with fractions worksheet
Due Thursday

Pre-Algebra:  pg 240, 22 - 35
*Be sure to show your work (meaning the original problem and how you solved it).
*You are free to use whichever of the three strategies works for you when simplifying, just be sure that you use one!
*Be extra careful with #29 as it was probably the least popular problem of last year's pre-algebra class.  Although it will not count as a correction point, if you do not attempt it and have a logical answer, it will cost you a point.  We will discuss this problem in class.
