Assignment: Draw Four, Check One
(there is currently NOT a copy of this assignment)
Draw Four: First complete the four problems using VISUAL models on ANOTHER sheet of paper. We have practiced this skill, so the expectation is that you will be able to represent these stories in this way.
Ultimately you should have an answer, but it's correctness is only half of the value of the points. The other half is showing me how you worked through the problems using visual cues.
Check One: Select one of the problems to have an older sibling, neighbor, or adult solvse. Give them the problem (and a piece of paper?) and encourage them to show you all of their work so you can see their thinking. Feel free to ask questions afterwards if you do not understand what they did, but in general you should be able to tell.
Then your task is to analyze their work. Did they work it out in the same way as you did or differently? Were there common elements between your work? Did they use all numbers or did they represent it visually too? Did you even get the same answer?!?! Write at least three sentences of your observations; you may write these directly on their work page.
P.S. You can give the problems out to multiple people if you want to!
Have fun!
Due Thursday
