Assignment: Division #2
You have self-assessed where you are in the fractions unit, so continue thinking about how to best prepare for the test next Thursday. More on that in a minute.
Tonight's homework is fraction division. You received one of two assignments:
1) Page 17, division of mixed numbers. This is the one I was calling, "the one with the woman" sheet, because there is a picture of a woman on it. Why is she there anyway?
2) Fraction Word Problems; this is the link to that assignment.

Skills for this test include -
*recognizing equivalent fractions
*being able to turn improper fractions to mixed and mixed to improper
*recognizing when a fraction is in simplest form and being able to put any fraction in simplest form
*being able to name the factors of a number
*adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fraction equations
- within the equations, you may need to borrow (regroup) or carry (regroup)
