Being able to use any numbers in application is the ultimate purpose of mathematics. Today you took a test where you needed to take positive and negative values, make sense of Mr. Gacek's antics, then determine the appropriate steps to finding a solution.
Overall I am THRILLED with your tests! You took the time to read the problems carefully and make sure your answer matched the question. There were actually TWELVE people who scored 100% ... congratulations!
